What stays on your device
- Your library, widget designs, photos you add to widgets, countdowns, quit-smoking plan and other widget settings.
- Your username and avatar.
This data is stored in the app and in an App Group shared with Kare's own widgets. It is not uploaded to our servers.
Your account
An account is optional. You can browse, build and add widgets without one. You need one only to write reviews.
If you create one, Google Firebase Authentication stores your email address (or the private relay address Apple gives us if you sign in with Apple and hide your email), your display name and an account ID. Passwords are handled by Firebase; we never see them.
You can delete your account at any time in Kare: Settings, then Delete account. This removes your account and every review you wrote, immediately.
Reviews
Reviews you write are public inside Kare: other people see your display name, your stars and your text. They are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) with your account ID so that only you can change or delete them.
Anyone can report a review or block its author. Reports are stored with the review they point at and, if you are signed in, your account ID. We review every report within 24 hours and remove content that breaks our rules.
Feedback
When you remove a widget, Kare may ask why. If you answer, we store the widget's name, the reason you picked, your optional note, how many days it was in your library, the app version and the app language.
These answers are not linked to your name, email or any device identifier. They are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and used only to improve Kare.
Purchases
Kare+ subscriptions, the lifetime unlock and single widgets are sold through Apple. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card or Apple Account details. The app asks Apple which items you own.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No analytics tools that build a profile of you.
Children
Kare is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.
Deleting your data
Delete your account in Kare (Settings, then Delete account) to remove your account and reviews. Deleting Kare from your iPhone removes everything stored on the device. To have feedback answers you sent removed, email zerdendereli@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
